Happy Monday

Holly posted this piece on rooms-inspired-by-corsages some time ago. It's really cute and got us thinking about interpretating our outfits too. Plus if we're still in time, dress up nice today!

This weekend, why don't you

Instead of sleeping in, wake up early? Prune the plants, make yourself a hot drink, read a book, catch up on current affairs. All that, and you're just only approaching late morning! Maybe throw in a tiny spot of shopping after, before you settle down for dinner with partner and/or the usual clique.

Day Two, go somewhere out-of-the-way. Some place/exhibition/play you've been meaning to see. And then just take it easy, go with the flow and see what the day brings you.

p.s. Not quite the itinerary for mothers and fathers (you know you have a special place in our hearts!). Plus, we're pretty sure a loose interpretation of this is possible?

Something fun to do

In town! More information here.

Elva Fields jewellery

There's always such a delightful aesthetic at this jeweller's.

These paintings

Picked out by Oh Joy are really beautiful. See more of Stina Pearson works here (and in case you're wondering, yes we mentioned her work about two years ago!). Still loving the artist's work, and glad to see her doing this well.

A Single Man

Kristina always pulls out the best movie stills - more viewing pleasure here.

Ginger cakes with white peaches

Ginger has never looked sexier. Plus, new recipes over at Sprouted Kitchen(!).

Wanderlust boutique hotel

Have you heard about it? Quite excited to see the hotel in person (plus what a name!). Located in Little India, more about it on our favourite plus six five, and get your room here.

Shop update: Luxury and how you see it

On left, another cute painting, this time by Janet Hill, via Oh Joy. On right, we're so glad you've been picking up copies of Deluxe at our store! While we'll recommend reading it with a pinch of salt, we still like how the book gets us thinking and brings us somewhat closer to making informed-purchases.

Meet the Toledos

This is such an adorable picture - more about it here(!).

Wallflowers

Erin Flannery uses a mix of aerosol, acrylic, pencil/ink and even fabric to create these works (they do such wonders for the dining area!). Thanks too much to the industrious greedy girl.

Come dine with me

We love tables settings and centerpieces but they are totally beyond us. A close friend who is really amazing at this is busy setting up a small business and we can't wait to show you pictures! This wild flower-meets-vegetables setting is so cute. via Once Wed.

The hills are alive

This villa-in-a-hill in Switzerland is quite an unbelievable sight. See and read more about it over here (and yes it's open to public!).

Great ideas + Happy Thursday!

We fished this out of our ideas-folder, and felt inspired (and happy) all over again seeing it. Made the mistake of not labelling it and have no absolutely no idea where it came from now. Tell us if you happen to know!

A contemporary rocking horse

For your very modern apartment/house. Wonderful idea from Hi + Low.
More grown up toys here.
